Passion Saves Lives
A Day In The Life Of Rick Sentieri

I wake up early and then go to the yard where we keep the equipment. I work for an asphalt paving company. We normally pave residential driveways. I try to arrive in the yard early enough to have a cup of coffee.

I then drive the truck to the asphalt plant and get loaded. The truck a carries 13 ton maximum load. I then meet the paving-crew at the job-site.
I then back up dump the asphalt it into a asphalt paver.

The paving crew works fast and together to complete the job. Working with hot asphalt you learn quickly to be efficient. When the paving is finished we re-check the grade and roll the asphalt smooth.
At the end of the day my body radiates heat for hours. I strongly advise you not to choose this type of employment.

LETS GO DEMO-DERBY RACING!

My co-workers and I also entered two cars in the 2002 Demolition Derby

This event is the most exciting thing that happens at the county fair!
Organizers and their supporting cast did a very good of making this event possible.

The rules are simple. Smash and destroy your opponent.

Will T. Was the captain of our demolition team and the driver of car 51.

Special thanks goes to the Wilmont Fire Department.

Will T. is an experienced demo-derby racer who has won $$ participating in this event.

I drove car number 31.

Thanks to Bristol Paving & jimmorrison.com for sponsoring car 31.

I had a great support team that included spotters in pit and also in the grandstands.

Using radios the spotters kept me informed on the condition of my car and what was happening on the race track.

The demo-derby racers all converged on my car.
Early they smashed into the passenger door and the front tires blew out .

Thanks to my co-workers, and Hav the pit crew chief, car 31 held together well.

Car 31 ran out of luck with only two other cars left in the race.

It was a very eventful evening and most importantly no-one was seriously hurt.

After cleaning up and having dinner, I go out to local taverns to sing karaoke. I preform at most of the shows that Slick Sammy attends.
